“AFOI IATRIDI G.P.” gas station is located in Marousi since 1916 and is one of the oldest gas stations in the area. It is a family business that until today has passed through three generations. In 1916, the founder Panagiotis Iatridis started using fuel containers to refuel the buses of the company “PAPADAKIS FILINIS & SIA”. At the moment he was also a shareholder of that company. In a short time, the cooperation with the SHELL will begin and pumps with one-gallon glass containers will be installed at the gas station.
In 1964, the son George Iatridis actively participates in the operation of the business, where it is renamed to “P. Iatridis & Son”.The company operates with the modern means of that period and serves both private vehicles and buses. Later, in 1973 George Iatridis took over the full management of the business until the year 2014. During this period, the business continuously extended and even bought its first fuel tankers to serve the needs of the wider area.
In 2014, the three sons of G. Iatridis – Panagiotis, Stelios and Alexandros will take over the business. Gradually, the business will expand to other related sectors such as distribution of heating oil in Attica region, parking services etc. At this point the company is renamed “AFOI IATRIDI O.E.” and the third generation is proceeding with the modernization of the business with steady steps and always with social responsibility. Throughout time, the company actively participates in raising awareness of the local community, supporting young people, sports and participates in various social events.
